How does the treatment work?
A BOTOX® injection is a safe and simple procedure. A small amount of BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected with a tiny needle into the facial muscle that creates the wrinkle. This injection blocks the nerve impulse to the muscle, and as a result, the muscle weakens. When the muscle doesn't contract, it relaxes and the wrinkle in the skin softens and often disappears.
What is the treatment like?
You will feel a needle sting with each injection. Once the treatment is complete, there is usually no discomfort. You can continue your daily routine immediately following BOTOX® treatments.
What improvements will I see?
Dramatic wrinkle reduction will be seen within 4 to 10 days. The results, however, are temporary and will need to be repeated three or four times per year.
