Frequently Asked Questions about Sun Spot Removal

How does the treatment work?
The KTP Laser emits a wavelength of light that is specifically attracted to hyperpigmentation (brown sunspots). After the sunspots absorb the laser energy, they flake off, revealing a more even, youthful, skin tone.

What is the treatment like?
You will feel a pulse of heat on each sunspot. A topical anesthetic will be applied to optimize your comfort.

What improvements will I see?
Immediately following the treatment, sunspots will look much darker and there may be some redness and swelling in surrounding skin. It takes approximately 10-14 days for sunspots to flake off and loose a layer of color. They will appear lighter and smaller after each treatment.
